Added benefit over time and endpoint assessments
This analysis shows how the extent of added benefit for patient groups has changed from year to year, and how individual endpoint assessments relate to the determined added benefit. Each patient group is one unit of analysis.

The chart counts patient groups, not decisions: a decision with three patient groups counts three times.
Every decision counts in the year of its own decision date, reassessments and new therapeutic indications included. The chart shows what the G-BA decided each year, not the current status of each drug.
“Deemed proven” only appears from 2022. It marks reserve antibiotics, whose added benefit the law deems proven without the G-BA rating its extent: a change in the law, not in G-BA practice.

How to read the matrices
Each column represents an endpoint assessment. Within that column, the percentage shows the share of patient groups with the respective added benefit; the number above it is the absolute count. Darker cells indicate larger shares. Ø means no data are available, n.a. means not assessable, and “Missing” indicates an incomplete endpoint overview. An association does not prove a causal influence on the decision.
